Cryptocurrencies in general are rudderless, he says, with traders needing new developments to spur a rush of volume back into the space. As American foreign policy is experiencing higher tensions with both Iran and Cuba, choppy trading is a recurring feature in a cryptocurrency market that doesn't want too much risk exposure heading into the weekend. "Volatility remains elevated, with wide intraday swings underscoring the fragile balance between buyers and sellers," said Di Giacomo. BTC is down 2.8%, to $65,500, while ethereum drops to just over $1,920 Friday. (<a href="mailto:kirk.maltais@wsj.com" rel="nofollow ugc">kirk.maltais@wsj.com</a>)<br />
